A Simple Lab Experiment

In taking a summer online course in human relations for the purposes of finishing a teaching certificate, the weekly discussion assignment centered on the Myers Briggs test and 16 personality types.  The instructor wanted us to explore how we can use this knowledge of ourselves in working relationships.   According to Myers Briggs test results, I am a scientist.

I wish I could be a scientist, paid with grant money at an institution for the purposes of researching a great number of curiosities… sound, plant life, food, literature.

Chemistry is risky,
biology so complex,
physics relative to conditions of a unique
and ever-changing environment.

More so, I see myself as a scientist of communication
and my unique experience.

Where does the poetry begin,
what will bring it change,
the outcome is truly uncertain.

A photograph, a painting, a mural.

Communication is affected by relationships with each other,
and the relationships with those beyond what we say and do.
Our families and friends, mentors, role models and idols.

We have a chemistry which can change in an instant based on physics and biology.
Is the sun shining, is it raining?
Is it 100 above or 20 below?
Gnats and pestilence.

Is there someone in your family just born or deceased?
What is your best friend doing right now?
